Scholarships, grants, and financial aid
are available to students in many forms.
The scholarships listed on this page are all guaranteed.

By guaranteed scholarships, we mean those which are unlimited in number, and require no interview, essay, portfolio, audition, competition or other "secondary" requirement. Just meet the criteria listed, adhere to the application deadlines set by the individual colleges and universities, gain admission, enroll, and receive your scholarship or scholarships. Remember that, in many cases, the scholarships are mutually exclusive...you will generally receive the largest scholarship or grant for which you qualify.

And, generally, you will have to meet some minimum requirements to renew and retain any scholarships and grants awarded to you.

To avoid disappointment and/or misunderstandings, please contact any of the colleges and universities below in which you are interested, to be certain you are aware of initial application deadlines and the requirements for renewal.

Also, please be aware that many institutions listed below offer grants, financial aid, and awards other than those listed. We have only listed those meeting our definition of "guaranteed". And, be advised that many colleges require anyone applying for aid to complete financial aid forms, even if they have no demonstrated financial need.

• Full tuition, room, and board to students in the top 10% with averages
  of at least 93% and 26 on the ACT or 1200 on the SAT.
• Free room to students in the top 15% with an average of at least 90%
  and a 25 ACT or 1150 SAT.
• Free board(meals) to students in the top 20% with at least an 88% average
  and 24 on the ACT or 1100 on the SAT.

• $300 annually to any dependent child of a Presbyterian Minister
  enrolling as a full-time undergraduate.
• an annual $3,000 grant to dependent children, grandchildren, and
  great-grandchildren of alunmi in the top 25% of their graduating class
  enrolling as full time undergraduate students.

• Students in the top 30% of their class or ACT or SAT scores in the tip 30$ nationally receive at least $3,00 annually. Depending on GPA and scores, the award can be up to $9,000 annually.

• $!,500 to graduates of Leicester High School, and 10% for two currently enrolled (full time, day) family member.

• Grants to all admitted students with a GPA of 3.2 and ACT of 21 and above.

• $4,000 annual, renewable award for National Merit Finalists for whom
  Beloit College is their first choice

• Berea's mission is the education of students with financial need. All admitted students work for ten hours a week on campus and receive full tuition scholarships.

• $8396 annually to any first-time student with a 3.0 GPA and 23 ACT/1050 SAT.
• $9396 annually to any first-time student with a 3.5 GPA and 25 ACT/1140 SAT.
• $10,396 annually to any first-time student with a 3.75 GPA and 27 ACT/1220 SAT.
• Transfer students with a 3.0 GPA are awarded a minimum of $1,500 (up to $3000 based on need).
• Transfer students with a GPA of at least 3.5 and a 23 ACT or 1050 SAT receive $2,500 (up to $4000 based on need).
• The church-matching program offers a dollar for dollar match up to $1,000, then a $1 to $4 match up to full tuition. Good for any student from a church with an established college grant program.
• The Minister/Missionary Family Grant offers $1000 (up to $4000 based on need) for any student whose parent is a full-time missionary or minister

• $7,500 to students meeting two of the three following criteria; 3.75 GPA, 26 ACT, top 10% high school rank.
• $5,500 annually to those meeting two of the following three criteria; 3.25 GPA, 20 ACT, top 50% class rank.

• Awards up to full tuition to students with a 3.75 GPA and 21 ACT or 1020 SAT scores.
• Up to $2,000 per year to students with a 3.5 GPA and 21 ACT or 1020 SAT.
• Up to $1,000 to students with a GPA of 2.5 to 2.9.
• Up to $2,000 to students with a GPA of 3.0 to 3.49
• Up to $3,000 to students with a GPA of 3.5 to 4.0.

• $1000 annual, renewable scholarships to students who are HOBY alumni, Girl Scout Gold Award recipients and those who have attended a Governor's School of Excellence program.

• $3,500 per year to National Merit and National Achievement Finalists and Semi-Finalists with a minimum GPA of 3.2 and transfer students with a GPA of at least 3.5.
• $2,000 per year to students who score 30 or better on the ACT or 1310 or and have a high school cumulative GPA of at least 3.0...transfers with a 3.0 also receive this award.
• There are also one-time scholarships of $600-$1400 to freshmen with at least a 3.0 GPA and 1120 SAT or 25 ACT.

• Full scholarships to National Merit Semi-Finalists.
• $4,000 annually to Christian high school or homeschool graduates with a 3.5 GPA and 19 ACT or 890 SAT.

  and has a 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• $5,000 per year to any student who is a member of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, is going into a non-church work related field and
  has a 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.

• $2,000 to resident students with a 2.5 GPA and 1000 SAT,
• $4,000 to resident students with a 3.0 and 1000 SAT.
• $7,500 to resident students with a 3.8 and 1200.

• $11,500 annually to students with at least a 3.6 high school cumulative GPA and 1200 SAT. The same amount is available to traditionally under-represented students in higher education with at least a 3.2 high school cumulative GPA and 920 SAT. 61

• $15,000 per year to students with a top 5% high school rank and 1400 SAT
• $11,250 per year to students with a top $10% high school rank and 1350 SAT
• $7,500 per year to students with a top 15% high school rank and 1250 SAT
• The College will also meet, with additional grants, any remaining financial need these students have.

• $5,500 to full tuition a year to incoming students with at least a 3.8 GPA or top 5% of high school class, and 28 ACT or 1260 SAT.
• $3,500 to $6,500 a year to students meeting two of the three following criteria; minimum of a 3.50 GPA, top 15% of high school class rank, 26 ACT or 1180 SAT.

  -or a minimum class rank in the 80th percentile.
• $5,000 per year to high school valedictorians who are not selected to receive other merit-based scholarships.
• $6000-$8000 per year to students with at least a 3.6 or 90 high school average and a 28 ACT composite or SAT combined score of 1240.
• National Merit Scholarship Finalists whose first choice is Hope College are awarded $14,000 per year.

• $4,000-$10,500 a year to students in the top 25% of their high school class with at least a 28 ACT or 1240 SAT.
• National Merit Finalists receive an additional $3,500 a year, making it possible for a top student to receive $14,000 per year.

• $1,000 annually to Indiana residents who are high school valedictorians.

• $10,000 per year for four years to admitted National Merit Finalists, National Achievement Finalists, and National Hispanic Scholar Finalists.

• Offers all high school seniors with a class rank in the top 30% of their class a scholarship. Those in the top 10% receive one-half tuition, those in the second decile receive one-third tuiti549on, and students in the third decile receive a one-quarter tuition award. All scholarships are for four years, with minimum GPA requirements for renewal.

• Offers $5,000 per year to admitted National Merit Scholars who make Macalester their first choice.

• $5000-$6750 annually for an ACT of at 28 top 5% high school class rank.

• Also awards ($200 - one year only)to any full-time student who makes an official campus visit during the academic year prior to enrolling at SBU.

• Offer's approximately value is $3,600 per year to state residents with a top 10 percent high school class rank minimum ACT of 28 (or SAT of 1240).
• Out-of-state-residents meeting the same criteria may qualify for a bit more (reflecting the in-state and out-of-state cost differential).
• Awards $2,000 per year to students with a top 20% high school class rank (or 3.6 GPA) and minimum ACT of 26 (or SAT of 1170).Students who rank first or second in their class also qualify.
• Awards $1,000 annually to students in the top 10% of their high school class (or 3.8 GPA) with an ACT of at least 24 (or 1090 SAT).

• Full tuition scholarships to National Merit Finalist and half tuition scholarships to semifinalists.
• Other academic scholarships ranging from $2000 to $5000 for entering freshmen based on a scale score which combines GPA, class rank and ACT (or SAT score). Minimums to qualify would include a combination of a 3.20 GPA, top 30% class rank, and an ACT of 21 (970 SAT).
• Out-of-state grant of $1,500, and residents of Ohio receive an additional $300 grant.
• One quarter tuition scholarships for Free Methodist pastors and their dependents, as well as any student declaring his/her intention to enter full-tie Christian ministry with the Free Methodist Church.
• A half tuition scholarship for any Free Methodist missionary or their dependents (in active service or on furlough).

• Four almost free years and a stipend to students willing to serve for five years in the Coast Guard (as an officer) after graduation. The only cost, an initial entrance fee of $3,000, can be waived in the case of verifiable hardship.

• Half tuition scholarships to students in the top 5% of their high school class with a minimum SAT of 1270 or ACT of 29.
• Thirty percent tuition for students in the upper 15% of their class and at least an 1100 SAT, or 24 ACT.
• $2,500 annually to full-time students who are members of the United Methodist Church.
• $3,500 scholarship to students with an "above average" GPA in a college prep curriculum.
• $2,500 a year to students "with evidence of community service participation and/or active membership in any mainline religious organization".

• $3,000 per year for up to four years for National Merit Finalists, National Hispanic Scholars or National Achievement Finalists that list the University as their first choice.
• $5,000 per year for up to four years for members of underrepresented groups (African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, Alaskan Native) with either an ACT composite of 25 or higher (1100 SAT I) and high school rank in the top 30% or UI admission index of 130 or higher.
• One time $1000 award to students ranked first in their high school graduating class.
• $1000-$2000 a year for non-resident and international students with UI index of 129 or higher.
• At least $500 annually for Iowa students with a high school class rank in top 15%.

• Transfer students receive annually
  - $2,500 with a 3.3-3.49 GPA,
  - $3,500 with a 3.50-3.69 GPA, and
  - $5,000 a year with a GPA of 3.7-4.0.
  

• Out-of-state students start at $2,000 per year and can receive
  a Dean's award up to $5,000 per year.

• Awards $1500 to any first year student with a 3.5 GPA and 1100 SAT or a 23 ACT.

• $5,000-$7,000 annually for 1100 SAT or 24 ACT, with 3.5 GPA
  and top 20% class rank.

• Matches grants awarded by churches up to $500.

• South Carolinians who "predict" a 3.5 based on high school GPA and ACT/SAT scores receive $1,000 annually. Out-of-state students meeting the same criteria pay in-state tuition minus $1,000.

• National Merit Finalists, National Achievement Finalists, and National Hispanic Finalists selecting New College as a first choice receive additions to their stipends which will guarantee them a total award of $30,000 over four years.
• Presidential Scholarships of $1,500 a year for students with a 4.0 high school NCA and a 970 SAT (or 20 ACT) or 3.5 or higher NCA and 1270 SAT or 28 ACT.

• $3,000 per year for 4 years to students with a 28 ACT and 3.5 GPA.
• $1,500 per year for 4 years to those with a 25 ACT and 3.5 GPA.

• $10,000 a year to incoming freshmen who are members of the
  National Honor Society.

• $3,000 annually to all admitted Georgia residents with at least a 3.25 GPA
  in college preparatory classes.
• $3,000 annually to non-Georgia U.S. citizens with at least a 3.25 GPA
  in college preparatory classes.
• Up to a 50% tuition discount to daughters of United Methodist ministers.
• 20% tuition discount to daughters and grand-daughters of alumnae.
• One half tuition scholarships to National Merit Finalists and
  National Achievement Finalists.

• Top 20% HSR (no SAT minimum)= $6,000.
• 900-999 and top 50% high school class rank= $5,000.

• Awards $7,000 for 3.0 GPA, 25 composite ACT or SAT of 1140 and rank in top 20% of graduating class.
• $6,000 for GPA of 3.5 or higher OR 3.0 GPA and either a 25 composite ACT score or SAT of 1140 or rank in top 20%.
• $6,000 for cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher OR 3.0 GPA and either a 25 composite ACT score or SAT of 1140 or rank in top 20% of graduating class.
• 1/2 tuition to dependent children of Quaker pastors.
• 1/4 tuition to any yearly meeting member or graduate of a Quaker high school.
• $5,000 to Cuyahoga County residents with a 2.5 GPA.
• $1,000 to the older of two concurrently enrolled siblings.
• $5,000 to transfer students with a 3.5 GPA and at least 24 semester hours.

• North Carolina Baptists receive $1,000.
• All students with at least a 3.0 high school GPA and 1000 SAT receive at least $3,000 annually.
• Students with 1100 SAT and 3.4 high school GPA receive at least $4,000 annually.
• Students with 1200 SAT and 3.8 high school GPA get $6,000 or more.
• NC residents receive a Legislative Grant of $1800.
• Tansfers (24 transferable hours or more) receive $3,000 a year with a 3.0
  or $4,000 with a 3.5.

• Awards full tuition, annual, renewable scholarships to students who complete the International Baccalaureate program through grade 12 and have a minimum SAT score of 1250 or ACT of 28.
• Awards full tuition to admitted graduates of the S.C. Governor's School with a minimum SAT of 1250 or ACT of 28.
